On a par with his amazing sire Sandro Hit! Thanks to his offspring placed in Grand Prix competitions like Sai Baba Plus/Boaventure Freire/POR, Semper Fidelis/Heather Blitz/USA, Sir Heinrich M, Sir Deauville, Sunshine Tour,and Syriana/Mary Hanna/AUS, Sir Donnerhall I is placed amongst the top 20 of the WBFSH ranking list of the world's best dressage sires. Sir Hohenstein/Bianca Nowag won team gold and individual silver in the Freestyle of the U25 Grand Prix European Championships in Melegnano/ITA. Sir Donnerhall I has definitely stepped out of the shadow of his incredible sire Sandro Hit. Six German Champions are to his credit: In 2013, Cindy OLD (4 y.o. mares/geldings), in 2014, Special Diva OLD (3 y.o. mares/geldings) and Sir Heinrich (6 y.o.), in 2016, Smirnoff (5 y.o.) and in 2017, Candy OLD (4 y.o. mares/geldings). In 2018, Caty OLD (4 y.o. mares/geldings) made the historical record perfect, as she is already the fourth Sir Donnerhall descendant out of St.Pr.St. C'est Bon to win gold in Warendorf. Her full-sister Candy OLD also won the bronze medal at the World Championships for Young Horses (5 y.o.). Sa Coeur became double World Champion and price highlight of the P.S.I. Auction, selling for 2.31 million euros. He is just one of numerous auction top prices. He has produced 99 licensed stallions, including numerous champion and premium stallions as well as Sir Olli, bronze medallist at the World Championships for Young Horses. Out of the 206 state premium mares, the Oldenburg Champion Mare Candy OLD stands out. Furthermore, the winning stallions Bonds, Feinrich and For Romance I OLD, the premium stallion For Romance II the Westphalian Champion Fürst Magic, the German Vice Champion and advanced (S) level serial winner Lilliano OLD/Dorothee Schneider, the German Champion Revenant and the Oldenburg Champion Mare, German Champion and P.S.I. price highlight Fasine OLD also descend from Sir Donnerhall’s dam line. At the German Foal Championships in 2019, Sir Donnerhall I produced another exceptional foal, the second placed filly. His dam St.Pr.St. Contenance D also produced his full brother, Sir Donnerhall II, licensed stallion and World Cup finalist with Morgan Barbancon/ESP, and Stratege/Cora Jacobs, also successful in Grand Prix. His dam sire is the sire of the century Donnerhall. The licensed son Sir Heinrich dominated the scene of the five year old dressage horses. In 2012 and 2013, his son Sa Coeur was World Champion of the young dressage horses in Verden and top horse at the PSI auction in Ankum. Sir Donnerhall´s progeny are always sought after. For years Sir Donnerhall I was one of the most successful sires of auction horses and continuous producer of top horses achieving 6 digit prices. His progeny impress again and again with their great style, a modern type and subtle movements. The FN breeding value association ranks Sir Donnerhall I, who has himself been trained up to Grand Prix, as one of the best sires of dressage horses. He was second reserve champion at his licensing, stallion performance test winner, Ia main premium sire in 2005 and in 2006 Bundeschampion as well as vice World Champion of five year old dressage horses. He quickly turned out to be a foundation stallion: he has sired 89 licensed sons so far, among them the NRW champion stallion and vice Bundeschampion Silbermond, the champion stallions of the South German licensing Sir Nymphenburg I and Sir Schiwago as well as numerous premium sires at all German licensing locations. The premium sire Santo Dottore was Reitpferde Champion of the three year old Oldenburg stallions in 2014. More than 80 daughters were awarded the predicate ´state premium`.
