Lando, bay Denmark Stallion by (Lancier /Silvia [Raimondo]), born in
1988,
standing
approximately 16.2
hands.
Description:
Olympic individual silver medallist in Sydney. Lando’s career began in
Denmark. There, as a youngster he already won the stallion performance test in
jumping and was placed third overall. The following year he was Reserve-Champion
in his age group at the stallion approvals. Later on, in 2000 he was Dutch
Champion and in 2001 Stallion of the Year in Denmark. His spectacular rounds at
the Olympics are fond memories still today. Lando’s sire Lancier, a son of the
stallion of the century Landgraf. The Dam’s sire Raimondo, likewise from
Holstein, descends from one of the most successful show jumping producers
“Ramiro” out of a dam by Frivol xx (lineage 730B). Many approved stallions
(e.g. Lentigo, Coronino) and sport horses (e.g. Classic Time, Look out) are
progeny from this lineage. Lando, an ultra-modern top class show jumper with the
required performance format and exceptional jumping blood line. Today ridden by
Otto Becker, he is still at the top of his career. Apart from winning the Grand
Prix in Donaueschingen and jumping the only double clear in the Nations Cup in
Calgary, Canada the pair have won over €200,000 in international competitions.
His foals are enchanting through their type and elegance and his first progeny
are very impressive in loose jumping. We look forward to seeing his first colts
at stallion approvals in 2004.
