Don Ricoss was licensed in 2004 where he scored 9.5 for elasticity of paces and 10 for trot at his keuring in the UK. Dr Ludwig Christmann remarked on the quality of his paces in the Hannoveraner magazine (October / November 2004 edition).

His Grand Dam State Premium Erina,by Hanoverian Stallion of 1999, Eiger I, produced the licensed dressage stallion Wallstreet Kid (by Warkant, USA) and his full sister Windsor Queen, who is the dam of Advanced level licensed dressage stallions Will Be (by Wittinger) and the Licensing and Bundeschampionat Champion Londonderry (by Lauries Crusador xx). The latter is currently considered to be a foundation sire.

Another Erina grandaughter Lawalda (Lauries Crusador xx/ Warnet) was sold at the 2006 Elite Verden Foal Auction for 65.000 Euros.

This dam line, is grounded in the Holsteiner Family 8116, also produced the licensed stallion Amoural (Pb, Rhineland Pfalz-Saar) and Dante Alighieri (AUT).

Hochveranlagter Dressur-Nachwuchshengst, lackschwarz im großen Aufriss der durch seine drei hochklassigen Grundgangarten und ein hervorragendes Interieur bei besten Rittigkeitswerten zu gefallen weiß.

Don Ricoss war 2005 mehrfach siegreich in Reitpferdeprüfungen, u.a. in der Qualifikation und im Siegerpreis der Reitpferde beim erstklassig besetzten Turnier in Elmlohe, ferner Sieger der Qualifikation und Vize-Landeschampion im Rahmen der WM in Verden, wo er 2005 und 2006 die Fahrkarte zum Bundeschampionat in Warendorf löste. Den 30-Tage-Test absolvierte er mit der höchsten Bewertung (8,84) im Teilbereich Dressur unter den 30 Prüflingen im Herbst 2005 in Neustadt/Dosse. Weiterhin konnte er 2006 bei seinen ersten Starts in Dressurpferdeprüfungen mit Traumnoten als Sieger den Platz verlassen.

Auch sein erster Fohlenjahrgang präsentierte sich in dunkler Jacke, drei sehr guten Grundgangarten und viel Chick! Auch auf den Fohlenschauen in Sottrum und auf der Kreisfohlenschau in Tarmstedt, mit über 50 Fohlen, konnten seine Nachkommen einen Klassensieg und auf dem qualitätsvollen Endring einen guten vorderen Platz belegen.

Der Vater Don Frederico war Körsieger seines Jahrganges, Reservesieger seiner Hengstleistungsprüfung, mehrfach hoch platzierter Bundeschampionatsfinalist und hat inzwischen zahlreiche S-Dressuren gewonnen.

Sein Muttervater Weltmeyer, Körsieger, HLP-Sieger, Bundeschampion und Hannoveraner Hengst des Jahres 1998, hat ganze Generationen hannoverscher Dressurpferdezucht geprägt.

Die Großmutter St.Pr.St. Erina brachte mit Warkant den gekörten Dressurhengst Wallstreet Kid (USA) und dessen Vollschwester Windsor Queen , die ihrerseits in Will Be (v. Wittinger) und dem Körungssieger und Bundeschampion Londonderry (v. Lauries Crusador xx) zwei bis S-Dressur geförderte gekörte Söhne stellte, von denen letzterer ausgesprochen Wertschätzung genießt. .

2006 Performance Record

As a result of his performance in the 4 year old stallion class at the World Championships for Young Horses in Verden, Don Ricoss has,for the second year running, been selected as a representative of the Hanoverian Verband for the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf in September 2006.

Ist place A level competition 26/8/06

Despite a couple of minor mistakes, Don Ricoss, ridden by Isobel won his first A level competition with a score of 8.2.

Don Ricoss has had a brilliant start to his competition career in 2005 winning 4 times at some of Germany's largest competitions for young horses as well as qualifying for the 2005 Bundeschampionat.

Don Ricoss is trained by Eckhard Wahlers in conjunction with Hans Heinrich Meyer Zu Strohen.

Isobel Bache who put in the stunning performance at the 2005 Bundeschampionate on the 5 year old mare Funny Girl to win second place with 9.0 has agreed to ride Don Ricoss for the 2006 competition season.

Isobel who is based at Holga Finken's stables will ride him competitively from January 2006,starting with his first competition of the year in at the CDN in Verden.

Don Ricoss was the winner of the dressage section of his 30 Day Test at Neustadt-Dosse in 2005.

He was the ONLY 3 year old to get marks of greater than 9.0 for both trot and canter, out of 309 3 year olds tested in 2005.
