The Cantus-son produces top class progeny in series. The dam’s sire Julio Mariner xx has mainly acted in the Netherlands where he produced international show jumpers such as Eurocommerce Lima/Gerco Schröder, Dinky Toy/Michael Whitaker or Resolute/Molly Ashe. He also sired the dam of Riant, a 2003 participant of the world championships of young dressage horses. The infusion of thoroughbred blood makes Califax’s pedigree extremely valuable for the dedicated performance-breeding of modern show-jumpers.
