A guarantor for marketing

Breeders and dressage riders are assured and fascinated by his offspring. The breeders because the sons and daughters of Abanos become bestsellers anywhere because of their beauty and their sequence of movement (f. e. three horses were sold at the CHIO sales in Aachen in 2004, a daughter of Abanos found a buyer for 120 000.00 € at the PSI in Ankum in 2004) The riders because they experience a phantasmagoric feeling in the saddle.

He passes on his genes resoundingly to his crop and is a guarantor for the marketing of his offspring. With a breeding index of 149 he belongs to the top 5% on the German Federation´s Breeding Premium Ranking List in dressage. At the mare performance test in Wickerath Abanos presented three winners that received a score of 10.0 in trot and in the extraneous rider test. His offspring dominate the foal shows and championships.

What else could a breeder´s heart wish?

Abanos criterias, a maximun amount of rideability, outstanding basic paces and a unique pronounced type made him advance to one of the most desired stallions in Europe.
His career in short: Abanos was Ic-Main Premium stallion, 2nd Reserve Champion for the Main Premium at the Oldenburg Hengsttage. Having won in riding horse tests he became Vice Champion at the Oldenburg State Show in Rastede. In the same year he was ambassador for the Oldenburger Verband (association) in Warendorf. In the fall of 2000 he was Reserve Champion of the performance test in Neustadt / Dosse. There he proved to be extremely versatile. In the meantime he has been highly successful in dressage tests and has according to his age been trained up to Inter I.

Abanos has obviously been shaped by his sire, the former Dressage Bundeschampion Alabaster. The legendary and highly praised Abglanz-type gives expression to Abanos in perfection. No wonder: Abanos threefold carries blood of the East Prussion ´line founders´. The best bloodlines of Thoroughbreds are combined through Busoni xx, Waldmannsdank xx, Furioso xx and especially the ´as hard as iron´ Poet xx. Anna-Karina, full sister of Abanos was in the Brilliantring of the Oldenburg Elite Show in Rastede. Granddam and great-granddam were successful advanced level dressage horses.

Abanos passes on his type and his movement dynamics. He sired first class crop with top foals at numerous Foul Auctions. All over Germany his crop dominate the Foal Shows and Championships. At he Southern German Foal Championship one of his sons became Reserve Champion in 2001 in Heuchlingen. In 2002 a daughter of his became Champion of the Southern German Foal Championship in Remlingen. Agilan, the former St. Ludwig Elite Auction Foal, his first approved son, Reserve Champion at the Bavarian Main Approval, followed in 2003.

In 2003 four daughters were contenders for the State Premium Championship. Among the NRW-sires of his age-group Abanos was listed as number 3, right behind Riccione that ´dwells´ in the stable next to him. According to the FN Breeding Index he belongs the the ´Creme de la Creme´: with 150 scores he ranks among the best 5 per cent of all German stallions and attained place 4 of his age-group.
