He does not fool anyone: A first class performance sire, proven at the top level

Pessoa, he wrote sporting history with many outstanding achievements such as
winning the World Cup finals three times in a row and being the triumphant gold
medallist at the 2004 Olympics in succession to winning team bronze in Sydney.
Truly international, his countless victories took place all over the world -
Paris, Bordeaux, Balve and Rotterdam. The Selle Francais stallion laid the
foundations of his career as a seven-year-old by winning the stallion test in
Fontainebleau. His sire, Galoubet, was very successful in the international
field himself. In 1982 he won team gold at the World Championships and in
addition to siring over 30 approved sons he has produced numerous top horses
such as Quick Star/Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum. His grandsire, Almé, is regarded
as one of the most high-profiled show jumping producers worldwide and can be
found in the pedigree of the ingenious mare Ratina Z – winner of European
Championships. Baloubet’s dam, Mesange du Rouet, completes the performance
line-up. She has also been internationally successful and her sire, Starter, is
by the same sire as the legendary Cor de la Bryère. Baloubet’s progeny have
long attracted attention on the international jumping scene. He sired the
