Quattro HW is by the legendary Quattro B, who is consistently producing phenomenal, successful offspring, including international level competitors in all olympic disciplines. Quattro is a stallion with an outstanding performance record and off-spring to prove his qualities as a sire. With a score of more than 130, he finished his performance test in Medingen on 2nd place.

In 1994 he became the Reserve Champion Stallion at the Oldenburg approval. In the meanwhile he has been successful internationally at shows in Caen (FRA), Leeuwarden (NL), Berlin, Munich, Geneva (CH) and Moscow. Along with many State Premium mares, he has also sired 13 licensed sons so far and has supplied jumpers as well as dressage horses in series that have reached top international level, particularly Oliver Q under Ryuichi Obata for Japan at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004.

QUATTRO was 2nd in the Performance Test at Medingen with a high score of 130 points. In 1994, he was Reserve Champion of the Oldenburg Korung, based on his performance test and his first offspring. QUATTRO jumped very well in 1996 with his rider Gilbert Bockmann and they won more than twenty 1.30m courses through the summer. QUATTRO jumped on the international circuit successfully, including 2nd in the Grand Prix of Emsburen, Kiel and Bremen. He also was successful in Caen, Leeuwarden, Berlin, Munich and Geneva.

His first offspring show spectacular gaits and also inherited QUATTRO's beautiful type and free jump very well. Since 1997, QUATTRO has more than 10 approved sons: Quando Quando, Quantes, Quatier Latin, Quell Charmeur, etc. QUATTRO's offspring Quando Quando, Much Ado and Quantum Tyme are famous in Grand Prix dressage. QUATTRO had two offspring qualified for the Olympics in Athens 2004: Quando Quando for dressage and Oliver Q for jumping! Quattro is also the paternal Grand sire for the incredible World Champion Quaterback.

QUATTRO is a son of Qredo de Paulstra, winner of the Grand Prix of Bordeaux. Qredo is sired by the legendary Galoubet, who two times won World Cup qualifiers and produced international jumpers such as Quick Star and Baloubet du Rouet. Grandfather Alme is even more famous with offspring such as Jalisco B and I Love You. On Qredo's mare's side, we find Furioso, father of Lutteur (Gold Medalist Tokyo) and Le Tyroll. On QUATTRO's dam's sire, we find the important Quastor, Uriel/Nankin and Enfant Terrible. QUATTRO is a beautiful stallion with extraordinary movement and is beloved by many breeders.

"The All-Rounder"

was the title he was given in the number one German horse magazine. Successful in international show jumping all the way to World Cup competitions with Gilbert Böckmann, he also sires winners in dressage, show jumping and eventing tests.

His son Rosemount Quando Quando, who wins dressage up to Grand Prix level, is also the sire of the Champion Stallion at the licensing in Redefin 2007. Oliver Q participated in the Olympic Game in Athens 2004, Quanta Costa and Don Diego are internationally successful under Rolf Göran Bengtsson and Quick Silber was the 2005 World Champion of five year old jumpers in Lanaken, Belgian. Quinaro took bronze at the Bundeschampionat in the class for five years old jumpers under Oliber Ross. Last not least, Quattro is also the sire of the current World Champion in eventing that took place in Le lion d´Angers, France. Quite Easy, whose dam is by the Thoroughbred stallion Akitos, won the gold medal under his breeder and rider Frank Ostholt.

Quattro:

Quattro HW's dam is by Florencio, the World Champion, 5-year-old dressage horses in Verden. He won with a record-breaking scores!

10.0 points for the canter, 9.8 for the walk, 9.7 for the trot, 9.6 for the suppleness, and 9.9 points for the overall impression.

Astronomical results for a stallion which seems to be from a different sphere: Florencio won the World Championship of the 5-year-old dressage horses. With the total score of 9.80, the dark bay Westphalian under his Dutch rider Hans Peter Minderhoud established a new championship record.

Hans Peter Minderhoud and Florencio:

Already during the qualification round Florencio proved his exceptional quality. Unimpressed with the downpours and the heavy ground of the test arena, he won confidently achieving 9.8 points each for the trot and for the canter, 9.5 for the walk as well as for the suppleness, and 9.7 for the overall impression which added up to a total score of 9.66. In the final test, the sire from Ludwig Kathmann's stallion station in Vechta-Holtrup did his role as the favorite candidate justice. Despite the strong wind which was blowing in the stadium in Verden, the young stallion concentrated exemplarily on the aids of his rider. The expressive trot, the picture-perfect canter as well as the rhythmic, ground-covering and calm walk impressed both the audience and the judges. The comment of judge Jenny Loriston-Clark from Great Britain brought it to the point: "What a wonderful horse."

They won the Pavo Cup Finals a few weeks later. Minderhoud renewed the World Champion's title in 2005.

Florencio won the Westphalian Championship under Simon Drop, and at the German Championship in Warendorf he became vice-champion of the 4-year-old stallions.

Susanne Sanal from Kamen bred the Florestan I-son Florencio out of Walessa by Weltmeyer-Pik Bube I. Florencio was approved by the Oldenburg breeding association. Six of the foals from his first foal age class have been admitted so far for the 3rd Elite Foal Auction in Vechta on the 20th August 2004 at the Oldenburg Horse Centre in Vechta. He debuted as a sire at the 60th Oldenburg Elite Auction in April 2004: At that event a Florencio-son was sold for 10,000 Euros to Great Britain.

Florencio is undoubtedly a great gain for the dressage breeding. His unbelievable beauty in conjunction with his natural light, uphill movements makes him a revelation to every dressage lover. Florencio is a stallion who is bred for dressage from the cream of the crop of stud stallions in Westphalia and Hanoverian studbooks. He carries with him all the blood and expression necessary for dressage breeding.

 Breeding

His sire Florestan I is the outstanding dressage ambassador of the Westphalian studbook. Florestan I has several approved sons such as Fidermark, Fleurop, Fuerst Heinrich, Faveur, Flores, Freestyle and Flieder. Florencio's grandsire Weltmeyer is one of the most famous stud stallions in Hannover with countless approved sons and offspring in the dressage sport. He has sired over 88 graded sons. His 'Hall of Fame' features outstanding sons like Wall Street, Weltburger, Wee Weltmeyer, Weserperle S, Wesley, Wolkenkranz and the full brothers Welt Hit I 0, II, III, IV, V, and six VI. Weltmeyer's sire World Cup I, full brother to White Foot's sire World Cup III, sired sixteen graded stallions including Walt Disney I, Walt Disney II, and Warkant. His international dressage portfolio includes Welcome, Without A Doubt, Watusi, and Walzerkoenig. Progeny have accumulated winnings in excess of £310,000. Further into Florencio's pedigree we also encounter the famous dressage progenitor Pik Bube. Pik Bube , was a very successful dressage stallion and a top sire of breeding, dressage and sport horses including 30 graded sons of which International competitors Pikant, Plaisir d'Amour 002, Paddy and Pik Primaire are some of the most successful. All in all, the dressage genes are firmly anchored in Florencio. Florencio has sired no less than 44 licensed sons, including Charmeur, Aaron, Fackeltanz, Florenciano, Florenz, Floricello, Fontane, Floriscount, Furst Nymphenburg I and II, and Luxus CML. He sired 54 state premium mares. His most successful offspring in sport are Fackeltanz (Dorothee Schneider), Aaron (Jeroen Devroe), Charmeur (Madeleine Witte-Vrees), Florenciano (Hubertus Schmidt), Fido Dido (Petra van Es), Fraulein Auguste (Matthias Bouten) and Freak Blue Phanton (Kristine Moller) amongst others.

Hans Peter Minderhoud and Florencio:

Quattro HW's dam's grand sire was no one less than the legendary Donnerhall, the stallion of the century.

Donnerhall was by Donnerwetter, a stallion who stood at Grönwohldhof and competed at Grand Prix level with Herbert and Karin Rehbein before he was sold to the United States in 1990. His other approved sons include Donnerkiel, Dobrock and Don Wienero. Donnerhall's dam, Ninette, also produced the mare Noblesse (by Pik Bube I). Ninette was from the Nagate line of mares. Her sire, Markus, was half-Thoroughbred and his sire Manolete xx is also found in the great eventing horse Volturno, winner of 2 Olympic silver medals and a silver medal at the 1978 World Championships in Lexington.

Donnerhall began his career in 1984, placing second out of 70 horses at his Stallion Performance Test held in Adelheidsdorf, with a score of 131.92. According to his rider, he was very easy to train, reaching the Grand Prix level of training in 2 years [1]. He was especially known for his expressive passage, piaffe, and extended trot.

Donnerhall had a stellar career as a dressage horse, winning some of the most prestigious competitions, including over 65 FEI Grand Prix Dressage classes and a life earning of D.M. 640,000. He was 1986 German DLG Champion in Hanover, beating out the very athletic Hanoverian stallion World Cup I. In 1994 German Champion (Mannheim), won the team gold and individual bronze at the Dressage World Championship in 1994 and at the European Dressage Championship in 1997 in Verden. In 1997, he also won the World Cup European League. Donnerhall earned his third team gold while finishing 4th individually at the 1998 Dressage World Championship. He was also named Oldenburg Stallion of the Year in 1998.

Donnerhall has the highest dressage breeding value of all stallions at 271, and has produced over 77 approved sons, 450 broodmares (84 State Premium), and over 636 competition horses [2]. Like his sire, Donnerhall stood at Grönwohldhof. His first few years produced only a few offspring, as the stud was a good distance from the main Oldenburg breeding areas. Within a few years, however, his popularity grew immensely. At the 1998 Federal Championship in Warendorf, more than 50% of the horses had Donnerhall in their pedigree [3].

Donnerhall passes on his flowing gait, presence, trainability, and excellent temperament.
