FirstChoice HW's sire is the stellar Fred Astair. He was bred the same way, as the successful Don Diamond: The best of the best dressage blood, combined with successful Holstein dressage blood. His father is the Oldenburg Licensing Champion 2009, the famous Fürst Romancier. In the 70-day test, he scored 9's for the basic gaits, 9.0 and 9.5 for the rideability and a dressage index of over 148 points, was fourth in the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf and fourth in the World Championship in Verden. Via Florestan, Donnerhall and Rosenkavalier, he inherited some of the most valuable dressage blood. Special genes are also handed down by Fred Astaire's mother line.
